Im trying to install a Lexmark printer but Im having some problems.

When I try to install the drivers, I get some errors saying that they're missing files from my HD and asks me to insert my WinXP SP2 CD, but all I have is the SP1 CD and it dosent work.

I downloaded the Missing files off the net and I got my printer to work, But then My Iexplorer6 and Firefox stopped working. I dont know what to do.

I use system restore to go back to before I Installed anything and here I am asking for help.

From waht I remember some of the missing files were:

usbscan.sys
wiafbdrv.dll
And I think a few more.

I had the same problem With an Old HP printer and when I DL the missing DLL's off the net it worked fine, but now it dosent.

Any Help??

Thanx,
Silo

I didnt Download any files from lexmark it came with an installation disk that I used to try to install the printer.

I dont know if this helps but I actually called lexmark and they told me that the problem was with My OS, they said that if it was a Lexmark problem then the filenames would have started with "L".

You think I Should try and install the file you are refuring too?
