I would like to back-up my DVDs using the excellent tools provided at this site. Is it possible to reset the region number during this process?

You can just make it region free. I have no DVD writer but I'm sure you can do that. Just ask someone with a DVD writer how.

Yeah, rippers normally strip out the region coding by default.

you can see if they are set to region free in the options. on clad dvd 2.0 click on options and if one of the buttons says make multi region then you have it set up right.
