I registered on the doom9 forums but i have to wait 5 days to post anything.. so i don't know where else to post this so...

im using AutoGK 2.40 to rip all the content on a DVD into one resulting XviD AVI file..

it says to do this from AutoGK TUT, but its not working for me:

If you want to encode multiple input files into one resulting AVI you can do it by appropriately naming input files: *_1.vob;*_2.vob etc and selecting just the first one (Extension can be any of supported types apart from AVI). In IFO mode AutoGK automatically selects all VOBs that belong to one vobset.

So i have 4 .Vobs that I want to join into one resulting XviD AVI, so i named them in the way they say to like: A_1.vob; B_2.vob; C_3.vob; D_4.vob.... Then i selected the first .Vob file { A_1.vob } and started the encode job.. but it dosent encode all of the vobs into one AVI file.. i just encodes that first one i selected and thats it..

Am i doing something wrong here.??? How can i make it combine all the content on a DVD into one resulting XviD AVI file..???

Shouldn't that mean that you select an ifo not a VOB?

so thats what i did and it doesn't work..!!!
I would figure it means select the first .vob file..

How do you know what mode its in..??
I cant find anywhere a mode seletion menu..???

well any ways how do i make it combine all the DVD's content into one resulting AVI file then..??

Use DVD Decrypter -> rip to VOB
then jMEnc -> VOB to AVI (around 700mb)

I hate to bump such an old thread, but I had the same problem. I came across this when searching for a solution. I eventually got it to work, and I figured someone else may stumble across this thread looking for the answer.

The trick is choosing the right IFO file. For example the movie I was having trouble with is The Butterfly Effect 2 (bad movie BTW). It has over 20 IFO files. When you look in explorer however after VTS_13_0.IFO the VTS_13_1.VOB through VTS_13_5.VOB files are 1048404 KB in size (#5 being 861072. Since these are much larger than the other files they must contain the movie. To get it to work I have to choose VTS_13_0.IFO.

I'm not sure what you mean by IFO mode. This is different from previous versions, but saying IFO mode sounds like an option you can switch off. For this version there is no mode to select, this is how you have to do it. Also in my version 2.40 it doesn't let you rename the input file, you have to select an IFO file from the window browser (I guess adding the 5 VOB files to one job might work too).
