it starts up and everything, but then under choose a map it says "FAT init error!".....what does this mean?????

FAT init error would have something to do with the game accessing aditional files from the memory card (FAT being the filesystem) This could be due to numerous reasons:

You have the wrong drivers, maybe DLDI patching or another version of the gme is required for your device.

You are missing the files it's trying to load, so include those files.

You have put the files in the wrong place, check the readme to see where they need to go.
