Hey I'm sure this question has been asked before, but I didn't find it when I searched for it. So I'm going to ask it anyway. I bought a used rental version of a dvd and it has the trailers in the beginning of the movie. I know you can use re-author mode in dvd shrink to get the movie only and leave out trailers and the extras. But I like the extras and special features. Is there anyway using dvd shrink to only remove the trailers while maintaining the extras using dvd shrink? Oriphus, I know you don't like the features and omit them, but do you know how to keep them. Any help from anybody would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Is your original a single layer dvd5, or a dual layer dvd9?
A lot of rentals seem to be single layer, in which case you could run it through dvdxcopy and choose the
"start with menu" or
"start with movie" option.
It's over 7 gigs, so it's dual layer dvd9. It's the special edition of "Die Another Day". I also try to avoid using DVDxcopy xpress b/c I don't like the disclaimer in the beginning. I normally use DVD Decryptor or DVD Shrink and Nero to burn.

Bridq. For a DVD of that size, your best bet would be to re-author it in DVD Shrink taking only the main movie. The put the extras on a second disc using DVD Shrink again. You can do this by choosing the extras manually, the same way you did the movie. You can put it all on one disc, but there will be no menu. Basically the disc will just play in the order you drag them into the New DVD in. Im not a fan of that way, but its up to yourself really.
Thanks Oriphus I'll consider doing that; or I'll just deal w/ it. I guess that's what happens when you buy used movies. By the way you spelled "then" wrong. ;p
