as u can prolly tell by the heading i am running a hot computer. im not exactly sure if htis was the forum i was meant to write into, but it seemed that it could b a hardware thing.
i use an acer aspire 1640 which has not had any parts changed or anything. i was wondering if there is a way to tell how hot ur computer is running and then possibly how to fix it if its running too hot.

mine does run hot, to the point where i have an icepack on it :S

please help me!

Download Everest here : http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4181.html.
As for fixing the heat problem, get some extra fans or possibly some water coolers installed *or install them yourself if you know how*.

Aaaaah, it's a laptop...
Well then watercooling and extra fans might be out of the question alltogether...
First, here's another link for everest : http://www.download.com/Everest-Ultimate...6-10499291.html
*i tested this one, it works*
As for the cooling problem, since it's a laptop, i can't help you, because i know f***all about cooling those things, but i'm sure someone here has some ideas.
Good luck.

Well, most of the time temps over 50°c aren't good, over 60°c is pretty bad, and much hotter... well, i take it you get the picture
