Please help me once again my burn process keeps failing

Hi Please somebody give me some insight. I've posted before and gotten help so I'm hoping someone can help me again. I've updated my Nero to 6.614 (I beleive) I've also added more memory and I'm trying to back up all my movies. Everytime I use my Nero and try for maximum my burn process fails. However if I use it at 2% it will allow me to make my backups but it is taking me 1/2 hour for each back up. Before I was able to burn a dvd in only 7-8 minutes max. I'm not even able to pick a writing speed of 4% or 8% (not sure why) can someone please give me some insight on this and advise what I can do for a faster way to backup my dvd's? I'm posting my log below thanks so much for any help.

Edit out your s/n before someone steals it! It is listed several times in your log. Click on the pen icon in the upper right corner.

Burn process failed at 16x (22,160 KB/s)

Too fast. Slow down your burn speed. Rule of thumb, burn at half of the rated speed of your media. In other words, if you're using 16x discs, do not burn faster than 8x. That should help some.

Also, make sure your machine is clean. Defrag your hdd often and run ccleaner. A defragged hdd will cause some issues with burning. Find ccleaner here: http://www.ccleaner.com.

Finally, use good media! TY or Verbatims are best.

@FFsp42- Thanks so much for your help and the fast turnaround time. I do need to slow down my speed pls forgive me in advance for being ignorant is there a manaul way to do this? On my dropdown for my writing speed for Nero it only gives me 18X(maximum)then 2X, 1X it won't even give me 4X as an option.

I do know that the media disc are not good I was using what was left of them then I inted to use sony. Thanks so much

Sony's are decent media to use, but the best are Taiyo Yuden or Verbatims, Verbatims being the easiest to get, all depending on where you live. Sometimes you can catch Verbs on sale at a decent price. If you're interested in finding out who manufactured your discs, use this free program: http://dvd.identifier.cdfreaks.com/
