Need help on Nero Vision

hi i need help on how to create a dvd video using Nero vision. I click dvd video in Nero vision add video files from my c drive(an AVI file) and when i choose it it says there are no files to create. why is that happening? need help!!!!!

Try double clicking on your AVI file, if it is not corrupt then it should play. Try Dragging and dropping into NeroVision.

what do u mean by dragging? it is not corrupt becuz i can play it in windows media player

i did but it dosn't work like i said after i click open and drag on it it say there is no file to create i want to show u my screen but i don't know how i post it up here

Open program where you have your movies files stored.
Open NeroVision
Select the AVI file (movie) of your choice
Right click on it, hold the mouse down, drag the file into (keeping the mouse held down) and then release...hence Drag and Drop...I'm doing some pics for you to look at.

i can't drop it i can drag but can't drag do u got a msn messenger cuz its easier to talk that way its hard for me to explain or show u what is the problem

i just got what u asid about drag and drop i open the folder try drop it but still it say there are no fiels to create!

If there are files there to be burned then it SHOULD work like this, this is how I ALWAYS do mine.

OK.....now this is only me...I do NOT like this version, I use and prefer 7.5.9.0 but there are some of our noted addicts using 7.7.5.1 with some satisfaction.

Sorry it doesnt work that way, if you purchased your copy of Nero then you would have been given a serial number which you can use to update your Nero at any time. If you are using the Demo version of Nero then you do not need a serial number as the free trial lasts for 30 days.
I had to purchase my serial number as did other members so unless you intend to buy, or have already bought Nero then I cannot help you with serial numbers.

anyone have a solution to this problem - I have tried everything including un-installing a re-installing several different versions, and running the "nero clean" program as well - still no luck. Some AVI files load and others still won't load it keeps saying "there are no files to create".
Please help - I am going insane.

This is just to see if anything is interfering with Nero.
Try booting into safe mode and run Nero.
Then reboot as normal.
Assuming that the problem isn't random (the same files fail), install GSpot and drag AVI files onto the Window.
Look for a pattern between files that load and files that won't.
It might be the audio or video codec or the frame rate or even the path to the file.
