How to burn several invidual cds to a dvd

I have been trying to burn 5(five) data cds onto one dvd and I am unable to do it.....using Nero Express I select Data Dvd, I then put my cd into my cd drive and copy(add) then select Add, sometimes that all the files from that cd will get added and sometimes they won't....Also there are times that an error message will say that it can't read the file.......even though Nero reports those errors I can copy those same files from the cd to my harddrive and read them.....
I would appreciate any help you guys can give me, maybe there is better software out there that can accomplish my task....
I am using Nero v7.7.51

Never experienced your problem, however.....try copying the contents of ur data cd onto your harddrive before adding them to be burnt do your DVD.
Just a thought...

If you can copy them to your HDD, do that and then add them to your project from the hard disk folders instead of from the CDs directly.

I was hoping that they could be held in cache somehow and burnt that way, copying them to harddrive and then burning them to dvd is very time consuming and cumbersome.....

Well i got an idea. Not sure if it will work. It might be easier though.
If u got Daemon Tools.....is there a way of moutning each othe the cd images on a virtual drive, then adding them to ur dvd...
That would LAG ur machine alot. Not even sure if its possible.
About the cache thing...i thought most caches are online like 2mb...or is that me being dumb. Probably the latter.
How many disk drives u got?

Nero is still copying the stuff from your CDs and storing on the hard drive in a temp file before burning anyway, so you're not really losing much time by ripping the CDs first.

Laddyboy, i think newf means he just selects the files from the cds he inserts to his "burn list" if u like.
He isnt actually burning them and then takin the cd out, he is just selecting them, removing the cd, inserting a cd, selecting the files, removing the cd etc etc.
So i dont think it does store them on the HD in a temp file or anythign...you might be right tho

Hello again.
If Nero doesn't store the files in a temp folder, where does it get the data to burn later? When I insert a disk and select files to be added Nero makes me wait while it copies from the DVD or CD. The member said he/she was combining 5 CDs to one DVD so I assume there were multiple files being copied. Maybe I just don't see the problem. It's usually easier and faster to have the data ripped on the HDD first.

I am doing like billybob stated.......
laddyboy, you also correct, I am not burning them as I insert each cd, I would open a cd in E: copy the contents to my project, open another cd in E: and copy the contents to my project, and so on....when it reached 4GB I would try to burn them.....

Laddyboy...thats exactly the point...its NOT burning.
Thats why i (and u) said u should rip the HD first.
So...u tried it out yet?

When you say "Rip" exactly what do you mean, does that mean "Copy"

Yes, we meant copy. Rip is just a term used in backing up disks whereby one copies the contents of the DVD/CD to the hard disk.
