I was told previously to another situation to update firmware but there is so many firmware updates out there I do not know which one to choose and where. I found this on another forum for someone else can you tell me if this is the one to fix my problem??

Update your firmware, problem solved in all likelyhood. I would suggest modified firmware from Liggy and Dee's or Herrie's, they allow better performance from your drive.

Here's the page for Liggy and Dee's firmware - http://liggydee.cdfreaks.com/page.php/2500/
These aren't the best discs, but you should probably get useable results at 8x with newer firmware.
205d DOES support Ritek F1 at 8x, so that would be the version to use.

your firmware is 1.0A and you should update to 1.0B as found here in the Firmware Page: LINK

use better media..... stick with the MIJ rule (Made In Japan). Look on the label of the box or spindle and make sure you see MIJ. the only exception to this rule is Verbatim and the only NON MIJ disk I will let near my burners.

do the firmware update and this might go away!

burning too slowly can be as bad as burning too fast. burn at half the rate of the speed of the disk..... if it's an 8x disk burn at 4x, etc.

good luck and welcome to AfterDawn

@Heresy85........you are trying to high jack the thread.... Consasia started the thread and you are trying to take it over.....I will be happy to answer your questions and look over your Nero Log but next time do not highjack a thread! You, being a newbie, are forgiven .... but you should read the forum rules! with that said:

Quote:
Nero Version: 7.0.1.2
Internal Version: 7, 0, 1, 2

use a more stable version of Nero 7: 7.5.7.0
Before updating to this version .... save your serial #, uninstall Nero, then use this free registry cleaner called CCleaner, then Nero7 Clean tool http://ww2.nero.com/nero7/enu/Nero7_CleanTool.html reboot and defrag!

and then reinstall 7.5.7.0 from here
http://www.filehippo.com/download_nero_7_premium/?1708
and I'm told that Nero 7.5.9.0 is also stable.

Last address to be written: 2286111 (508:01.36, 4465MB)

try setting your maximum write to 4400MB .... you're too close to the edge using poor media:

Quote:
Disc Manufacturer: Prodis - cF02

this is poor media..... the better media and rule you should live by is MIJ.... Made In Japan. Taiyo Yuden, Maxell, Sony, Fuji.... look for the MIJ on the label of the box or spindle ..... or just by Verbatim..... the only NON MIJ that I let near my burner! Using better media stops many headaches later!

do these changes and try again..... good luck..... and next time start your own thread ...... NO HIGHJACKING!
