Im going to kick my Itunes in the throat! HELP!!

I upgraded my Itunes to 7 and somehow I have not only managed to erase EVERYTHING off my Ipod, I get an error message when I try to put songs on my ipod. It says there is an error and it cannot read disc "IPOD"..... I need help!!

Yes. I even deleted all the songs out of my Itunes and re-added them to it,still getting an error message
