I'm just starting to rip my DVD's for backup purposes and want to do it in such a way that I have the original Japanese language with the English subtitles.
I've succeeded in ripping DVD's into AVI's all ready, but without subtitles.

Perhaps I am missing something. Can someone please enlighten me as to how to add subtitles to my files? I only want one AVI file at the end of everything. I don't think it's too hard to do, but I am not sure how to do it myself.

I just want Avi's. I know there is a guide for making VCD's with subtitles, but I don't want VCD's. I just want a basic AVI file, that will be stored on my HDD.

Any help would be appreciated.

Permanent subtitles is what I wanted, and in AVI also. That site was a great help, I really appreciate the info.
