Burned DVDs will not play in DVD ROM Drives

It's been a year since my last DVD burn session and just started up again. I am using DVD Shrink and AnyDVD. I have confirmed the that the burned DVDs work in my stand alone, but when I try to play them in my DVD ROM drives they don't read. I've tested it in the desktop drive that burned them and on a laptop drive, but they just won't play/read. Please help.

Can they read anything else. Any other disc DVD Data or CD Data etc.. It maybe that the drive is either dead or needs a firmware update.

what media are you using and what is your burn speed

Thank you to both that replied. I think it was any combination of firmware and burn speed. I upgraded the firmaware and lowered the burn speed and it now works in all drives and players. Thanks again.

great remember to use the good stuff like Taiyo Yuden and or Verbatim and burn no faster than 8x max
