Maybe somebody knows, which profesional programs are used for the Hollywood movies? Do you know the names and the prices?

I think johnnyemh is/was asking what programs do Hollywood studios use to encode/produce DVDs. Actually, the studios themselfs usually dont have much to do with the actual DVD authoring process, thats farmed out to a subcontracted company.

Anyway, CCE (Cinema Craft Encoder) SP - $2000, Canopous ProCoder 2.0 - ? (Dunno, prolly right around same price range as CCE SP), Scenarist NT - $39,000 are a few of the programs used to professional author DVDs.

And again, professional DVDs arent burnt, they are pressed.
