Hi im a noob at all this and have tried to work it all out on my own but i cant do it so here goes. Ive downloaded a file off emule a video file. It says video file in the details but when i click properties it comes up AVI in a icon at the top left of the resulting info window. Now when i tried to view it on my P.C it came up on windows medea player but there was no sound. I came on here did a bit of reading ans saw a progrome called avi2dvd and downloaded it I was then going to convert the file to SVCD to watch on my dvd player. I set it all up and off it went doing its converting thing. When it was finished i looked in the temp folder to look at the converted file (ISO ) but all that was there was a audio file.
If you understand what im getting at plz help................
cheers

Download 'GSpot', drag your downloaded file onto it and look to see if the required codecs are on your PC.
http://www.headbands.com/gspot/download.html
This image shows that both the 'video' and 'audio' codecs are installed.
If your file has the codecs installed, push the button marked '1', then if after a few seconds button '2' becomes availabe, click on it.
Your file should play in a window along with the audio.
If on the other hand the codecs are 'not installed', you will have to download them and install them on your pc.

You say you wanted to burn a CD.
When you check off that you want a DVD or SVCD and then select the CD disk size, you will be creating .BIN and .CUE output files which you will burn to a CD blank with DVD Decrypter.
If you select a DVD as the disk size, it will create an .iso file, which has to burn to a DVD blank.
You say you have an .ISO file, which means you selected a DVD Disk.
Check out the pics.
So did you "Choose Disk size" a CD or a DVD and did you burn to a CD or a DVD?

The first image error message says it can't find a codec (decompressor)
The second pic shows you have audio no video (because there's no video codec?).
Check out:
http://www.xvidmovies.com/faq/
Look at Par. 4.3 and download a codec.
when you want to add a pic to your post, click in the 'Add Image' button.
Remove the from the link and use lower case instead.[img] [/img].
Use 'Preview' to test.

Just seems that it took a look at the AVI and choked.
What type of AVI (XviD etc) does GSpot show the AVI video to be.
When you click on the AVI can you play it with Windows Media Player?
If you run the AVI through this program, it should output in DVD format. Can you try that?
Seems that the AVI source is the hangup.

HAHA!! you are the master! Yes it worked! Now can i use CloneDVD to write to disk?
Heres what files i have

Cheers me dears
*****Update*****
I used clone dvd to put it onto disc and yes there is sound and the picture quality is great. But a couple of problems.
The picture and sound are ok untill about 10 mins through then the picture is fine but the sound goes like the chipmonks lol. Ill try to convert it again and see weather it happens again. I checked and it doesnt do it on the original AVI file. Also its a little juddery is this because im watching on a 42" or is there a way of smoothing it out?
