Hi i get this annoying message almost everytime i boot my computer. a blue screen comes, and at the bottom i found these numbers:

Stop 0x0000009C (0x00000004, 0x8054D5F0, 0xB2000000, 0x00070F0F)

Now, I don't know what it can be, i reformatted my pc using the recovery disc that came with my computer, no luck. Now I have to try uninstalling and reinstalling windows and see what happens. But other than that, is there anything else i can do?

Hello aj147

Have you added any new hardware lately? The error 0x0000009C is your memory,Ram, you should try different ram and see if it stops. The code 0x0000009C refers to hardware failure usually ram. Can your pc start up past this blue screen? if so it is a ram error. If you can't get passed this blue screen the ram is bad. Either way I would bet it is bad ram. Try different sticks if you can.

Crucial 2Gbs DDR2 Ram

I'm not sure what you mean by if my pc can still start up. Sometimes, its like the blue screen comes. I have no choice but to manually shut down and restart. And 9 times out of 10, when i restart after the blue screen nothing happens, but its on. So I end up waiting a little while, to hear that beep when you turn on the pc. I have 2 sticks of RAM installed on my motherboard. 512mb each. Not sure what brand, but it came with the package. Would moving around the RAM to different slots help?

The best thing to try is take only one ram stick out and leave the other in. Restart the pc and if the error still appears, take that ram stick out and put in the other one in, restart the pc again, This way you can test each ram stick to see if one is faulty. Make sure when you leave one in that you use one in different slots, after restarting the pc everytime, to see if the actual board slot is faulty or the ram itself. I had this problem and I found that one of my ram sticks was faulty. Is the operating system XP? As this applies to XP. Have you tried system restore as in rare situations it could be a bad driver. PLease post back after you try the above.

Do you know anyone who can read your Minidumps? Everytime you have a Blue Screen of Death (BSoD) Windows will produce a Minidump that will point to where the issue is.

Okay, then I strongly suggest you do the following. Sign up at TechSpot Open Forums and post under their Windows OS your problem. Make sure you attach your minidumps to your post. Since you have so many then please Zip them.

TechSpot is a very helpful place.

sorry for my english write level, i'm spanish.
I have the same problem, y try the next solutions:
-Change Ram slots: I have two memory cards and i change this in the 3 diferents slots. The problems wasn't solutioned.
-Disconnect one HardDisk (Slave): I have 3 HD, one seagate 120 Gb (Master) and seagate 160 Gb (slave). When the problems ocurred, i can listening HD making a rare sound, And I think: "the HD is the cause". When i disconnect the HD, the problem no ocurred. The next time, y connect the Slave HD, and no problem. One time last, the blue screen was attack me. I think: " Is the Disk". I disconect only the feeding source cable, but I DON'T disconnect IDE cable, and the problem repeat. Then, I was thinked: "It's the IDE cable??" I try with another IDE cable and the problen NOT return.

In my case the solution was changed the IDE cable.
