Nerovision 3 wont burn xvid .avi file to disc!! Ive included a screenshot :D

So yeh, theres the screenshot. The file is an AVI one....and it needed the XviD codec to play. Thats all the info i have....im baffled as to why it wont work!
Can you help pleasE?

Might help if you shut down some of your back ground running tasks i.e. those down by the clock for starters turn of AVG anti virus and the rest of them

Can you play back the file on your pc without any problems? never used Nero vision are you trying to make a DVD video if yes I was under the impression you have to convert it first to VOB files don?t think Nero can do that Nero can convert videos to Nero recode which I think is mpeg 4 bit like DivX Nero?s own format if there is any problems with the source file it can cause problems Nero analyses it first if it finds errors it wont ad it to the compilation

No idea why nerovision wouldnt do it.
Instead, i bought apollo DivX to DVD creator....did it fine. Im just a bit annoyed because nerovision has the ability to create title menus etc.

Nero Vision does not work with AVIs that contain XviD or DivX videos. You must convert this files to another format like WMV before using Vision. I have used CinemaForge (freeware) to convert AVI > WMV, but here are other options.

The advice I gave was based on actual experience. I have downloaded several FLV (Flash Video) an AVI (DivX) videos from Google Video, and tried to burn them to DVD using NeroVision included in Nero 7.5.9.0, which I think is the Nero version "recommended" in this forum.
In every case, I got the "Unable to insert..." error message. Then I converted the videos to WMV and burned them to DVD without any problem.

Yes and I have been burning these files to DVD using NeroVision for a number of years without any problems so I guess you can say I also posted as per MY experience.

Ok ok calm is people.
Gweondolin.....what version of Nero are YOU using? That way i can get the one you have, and if it works for you, and i get that version and it works for me, then we know that the "version" was the problem.
