I've been burning dvds for some time, backing up movies, games etc.., lately my burner started giving me toasters, it gives an error while burning, I'll post the log below. The funny thing is I am using the same media (taiyo yuden) i've used upto now, and it seems to work when I burn 8x but then I'll have trouble reading those dvds. I can still burn cds with no trouble though. I have a benq DW1650 BCFC, I have the latest firmware, and I'm using an external burner. Any help is appreciated!

I used to burn at 4x with no problem upto now, I tried 2x to see if that worked. The media I'm using is 8x and I've heard it was a good idea to use 4x for it.

You are attempting to burn outside the limitations of the media...you would probably get better help in the PS section of the forums as well. I'm not sure that the structure is the same as video (probably not) and therefore could be giving you errors that I'm unfamiliar with.
