VCD/CD audio track reading problem

I have a Sony Discos CD/VCD that contains both audio tracks and video tracks. My newer CD players seem unwilling to acknowledge the existence of the audio tracks. This includes my Windows XP CDRW drive. Is there a way I can get my computer to recognize the audio tracks?
