computers are just a hassle.

whenever i turn on my comp, the screen just goes bleh, and i get all these horizontal lines across it which wont go away unless i restart my computer.
it only used to happen every once in a while, but now its getting worse. much worse.

to get my computer to turn on today i had to restart it about 30 times (no joke) and that didnt work, so i pulled it apart, gave it a clean, and then tried again about another 20!

WTF is going on?

i have an acer aspire 1640, still with all stock parts.
