I don't know what any of this really means below
and have not been able to burn for a few weeks now. the discs i burn with i have used for the last year and had no problems

What programs are you using for the rip and encoding? It looks like you're burning on the fly, not a good idea. Bump up the burn to 4X if the +RWs permit you.

i use Nero-6.6.0.18 and DVD Shrink
discs are imation DVD+R 8x

i'm not sure what you said can u simplify it at all?

What movie are you doing? It appears you are getting DRM issues. Shrink's not handling encryptions well. Try Ripi4me and let it do it thing it wuill then open in Shrink and proceed as you normally would.

You need to remove your serial number from the logs on the last two posts. Your burner is niot recognizing the media.

Try another brand and try an R instead of RW. +R if your burner is compatible.

Did you just acquire new discs? Perhaps high speed? Go here and check your burner's firmware.
