say if i want to reply to someones question on this forum with an illustrative image, how do i load an image file onto this forum?

I think i get it now, i simply replace "picture.jpg" with my image.

Also you might notice just above the message box a box with a Blue square, Red triangle and Green circle, if you click on that and then insert your URL between the brackets it will show your image after you Post your reply

Just wondering....Has it been considered by Afterdawm to upload your image from your hard drive (as one other forum does) and not from an "URL"?

Upload to your profile page and link to it there. I bet the site that uses the upload directly into the database is nothing like the size of ad.
