Since yesterday on Azureus instead of a green light at the bottom there is a Red one saying "Firewalled" This hasn't happened before, a few days ago i was downloading some torrents and it was green now its red.

Can someone help me to make it green again. Thanks.

PS. This is now happening on Bitornado aswell, the light isnt turning green and is staying on yellow. Im stuck on speeds like 30kb/s

Also, what port number do i use?

I've tried what's in the guide but it's still recently telling me it's firewalled. However the speeds seem ok although they were slow to start with... not sure what's going on, should I try a new client as per the guide??

I forwarded the ports but this is what the test came back with:

Its either your router blocking it or your firewall. If you have followed the guide than you need to allow the BT client access to the network via your firewall.

Thanks, is there a guide for that, I thought that was the same as forwarding ports in the firewall for it?

How does that happen then? if it's because of my ratio (0.683 and rising) how are new users supposed to get a large ratio?

Anyhow I've managed to download a 400MB file in around 2-3 hours with speeds from 10k to around 40k mostly around 25k though. How can I find out if I've been banned and how do I get round that?? I leave my client open and it's seeding at the moment... though if I'm banned I'll stop seeding now.

I doubt your banned. You have a decent ratio, though you need to get it up to 1 preferably. Trackers should only ban with you that ratio if you've had it for a long time, which you haven't as you said you were new, nothing to worry about :)

Just read & re-read the port forwarding guide on http://www.portforward.com/ and try to sort out your firewall config.

Good luck.
