best earbuds?

im looking for recommendations on earbuds,,i have read lot's of reviews on .... v-moda,ultimate ears, and etymotic.. some of these are very expensive and i dont want to buy to try...and be disappointed..
looking for clarity with moderate bass response..and comfort is a plus..those little cheezy plastic ones that come standard are ear killers...and they must suit rock music...thanks for any suggestions..

they are not ear buds but I love my Bose Accoustic Noise Cancellating Queit Comfort2 headphones! soft on the ears....I don't even notice that they are there.... and the best quality you can get! I love them.

i tried a pair of senheiser headphones through the player and it sounded awesome but i thought it might cause it to overload or something...is the ohm rating different on earphone compared to earbuds...headphones i though had bigger drivers....and thanks jazo i will also do a search on the sony's.

when I bought the Bose headphones I asked specifically if they can be used with iPods..... since they also make accessories for iPods....they said it was perfect for them!

i have the new Bose in ear ear buds and they are chrystal clear and are amazing. When i turn on one of my rap songs, the head phones shake.
well worth the money

umm, not sure what you mean my foam coated.
They are plastic pieces that come with three different sizes of rubber/silicon in-ear pieces that slide on over the plastic earpiece.
its hard to explain....here they are:

i love my sennheiser cx300s... they are awsome...
they changed the design a bit now, so they look a bit different than that ^^
i got mine for £15 on amazon... RRP was £40 :-D
what i want... for inside:

you can get them almost anywhere..
bestbuy, circuit city, target.....
pretty much anywhere that sells quality electronics.

Ihoe that headphones kicks ass!!! Boss even have nice hometheather system. They OWN when it comes to sound. 16gb i'm guessing song at 320??? how many songs on that 16gb?? How much did you pay for those headphones?
