Ok I'm a noob to ds and have just purchased a m3ds simply (didn't receive it yet though) - i looked at the guides here and cant figure out how can I actually backup my collection of ds games? Is there a guide here I am missing?

You cannot backup games with the M3 DS Simply. You have to download the games form the internet, which is what most users do.

It is possible to backup games using other hardware devices, but obviously this would result in additional costs.
