BenQ 1640 firmware ???

I've got a BenQ DW1640 model BSJB and have never updated it with any firmware since I've bought it 3 years ago.

I've had lots of problems with burns lately. My Urner is going at a snail pace!

Is there new firmware I should have and if so then where do I get it?

Yeah you definitely need a firmware update - you're quite a few behind.
Here's the latest - BSRB.

Check your DMA mode too - sounds like it may be in PIO mode. Here's a guide

Check this Benq site out. It has all the Benq 1640 firmware.
While BSRB is the last firmware revision for the 1640, many forum users recommend BSLB (which I use) due to its stability and consistency...

I have found firmware BSLB is the best for this drive. Just an opinion.
