how to get motivated to play games?

ok im not a hardcore gamer but i like to play. ive got GoW 1 and GoW 2. i left GoW 1 becuase i just couldn be botherd due to reasons below.
Sometimes i just cant be asked to play GoW 2 because it just sort of spookes me out or something else i just cant explain...? does any one else feel like this? if so what do u do to get motivated to start playing?
i feel like a retard when i start swap magic then have seconds thoughts about playing the game so i turn it off :( lol
any suggestions?

You play a game that interests you; as simple as that really. Maybe the God of War games aren't your particular cup of tea? Ever tried playing something like Shadow of the Colossus instead? Maybe you've been tired of gore or greek fiction, who knows. The only suggestion I can really make is play something you know you won't be bored with. I love God of War 1, but I wasn't too happy playing it knowing that it was so short. I'm currently playing imports mainly at the moment: namely Tales of Destiny (remake) and the final mix of Kingdom Hearts 2. And btw, if you like to play games, maybe some variations would be nice. Instead of playing an action adventure game like God of War or Prince of Persia, maybe you should play an fps game or an RPG. Good luck. I know that feeling, really...

u were talking about fps what is that and i havent really ever played RPG but i dunno y i just dnt like it cuz i played rune scape which was just stupid ;( lol

if you don't feel like playing games, maybe that's your brain telling you that you need to crack open a book, or do some math, or supe-up your car...hell, anything to get away from the TV. ^.~

man im 15 im doing dooo much math and book reading poem reading in english and stuff thats why i play ps2 games to get away from all this books. my GCSE's are really kicking in so i try to get away by playing ps2 lol.

i'm not saying give up games, i'm saying just be sure that games aren't your only escape. if you're having second thoughts about playing them, go ride a bike or take a hike or something. party it up with friends. :-P

lol i dont no if your my age or near there but in my society all thats talked about is the newest game and whos at what stage lol.
in my oppionion im doing very well at keeping away from all the video game nonsense. i dont have a ps3 or 360. just a psp which i use for modding (another escape from school) and the ps2 which is usually played by by ma lil bro.
party it up with friends. :-P
parting up is have a sleep over infront of a wide screen HD TV playing ps3 360 and ps2 all at the same time in a split screeen!!! lol

i'm 19, freshman in college.
at 15, i didn't have anything but a fried atari, a busted gameboy, and a ps2. *big grin* that was the summer i moved; i spent most of my free time writing poetry, clearing dead trees in the woods by my house, and racing a mildy-tuned lawn tractor. ah, those were the days.

that actually sounded cool. i live in the damn city so no trackors around here and as for cleaning dead leaves well we dont wnana be caught by our mates lol.
my only source of refuge is my computer were i try to interact and learn new things. the internet helped me complete my first game via walkthrough :D

if you're in the city, i say get into free-running. if you get good, that stuff is crazy.
you're about at that age to go car shopping. cars are something us young males take great pride in, and your will quickly suck up all your time!

Also i cant ride a car untill im 16 :( and a good car pimped out here in London will get jacked before u could take it on the motorway and see how fast it goes! lol

ALso the uk isnt the best place, that was just a stero typical answer influenced by the media telling the globe how succefull this country.
Well in my oppionion is crap. The UK has been voted the worst place to grow up what with all the gang violence here. but u would think a rating as extreme as that for a globably known/succesfully country would be globably publasised but no. instead they hushed up.. pffft. thats why people like u (no offence but seeing as your the only example i can relate to :D) will still think its a good country. lol

Kingdom Hearts is considered childish by many. One reason is simply because of the Disney characters presented in them. It isn't so bad because I believe the story, especially with the recently released KH2:FM+ in Japan, the story can be quite suitable for children and adults to share. Plus, it has that epic philosophical feel to it. Locke anyone?
About spooky, well, KH isn't like I've already said. And about fps, I meant First-Person-Shooter games. If you want an interesting game with violence and such, I heard Resident Evil 4 was good. And by Runescape, that's mainly an MMO, ain't it? I forgot.
Anyway, whatever you choose, try checking out numerous gaming sites like IGN.com or gamespot.com for reference on what games are out there and what you might be interested in; although, I don't think you should take their critiques too seriously since it's really up to you to decide if it interests you. Just use it as another voice in deciding.

Kingdom Hearts 2 is the latest one. Basically, the one I've been playing as of late, Kingdom Hearts 2: Final mix, is a Japan-only exclusive at the moment with a lot more added features in the game compared to the KH2 version here in the U.S. It's a 2-disc game set with a 3d made version of GBA's Kingdom Hearts: Chains of Memories. For KH2, there's buffed up difficulty levels, a new difficulty mode, at least 13 new boss battles, new keyblades, a new form and added scenes. Whether or not it'll come to the US, it remains to be seen. Although I do warn you, if you find GOW2 easy, then you might not be happy with KH2 since a lot of complaints were concerning about the incredibly easy gameplay, even on the hardest. But give KH2 a shot. It's 20 dollars here in the U.S. right now and if you aren't too strapped for cash, it might be a nice addition.
As for what other games to play, it's really up to you. I mainly use game sites as references and read a few reviews here and there to get a general idea of what to expect, but, as far as how accurate they are in grading it, don't take it too seriously. It's mainly preference. I game I've enjoyed could easily have the worse story, the most cliche characters and etc... but if it's done well, I'd like it.
When it comes to buying games, however, I mainly look at the price, how long it'll take, and how enjoyable it'll be. If you want something similar to God of War, you could test out something like Devil May Cry 1 and 3 (skip 2), the Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2, and Shadow of the Colossus. Check up some videos on youtube or wherever else hosts videos these days on the gameplay. They just might be your cup of tea, although, you could be spoiled with how bad some minor things are in all 3 of them, whether you enjoy it or not, it's up to you like I keep repeating like a broken record.

Think of KH2 as an action RPG. If you want action adventure, there's always DMC 1 and 3, 2 if you must, Shadows of the Colossus, and Prince of Persia 1 and 3, and 2 if you want. Other action adventure games skip my mind.

whats DMC? i liek games like GTA.... i finshed bully but san andreas i lost my saved data now i found it just now so ill play that tomorw. (i finished all the GTA's on the psp!)
but i like games like that. on GoW what i dnt like is were i can save my game. there too far u have to keep playing untill i can save it :( is there a way i can save it any time?
