Hey guys, Im new to this torrent scene. I was wondering if someone could help me speed up my downloads. Now, I turned Windows firewall, off, and I opened a port on my router and my firewall. However, the indicator light on BitTornado stays yellow, indicating that it is still firewalled. I have Norton Antivirus but that doesnt have a firewall. O and also what is uPnP(TCP) and uPnP(UDP)?

This is for Azureus but explains a little : http://www.azureuswiki.com/index.php/UPnP Google whatever else you need to know. Allow BitTornado through the Windows firewall and it should be fine. Use a port over 10,000 for each instance of BitTornado you wish to open and check this list of ISP's that block torrents to make sure you're not on it: http://www.azureuswiki.com/index.php/Bad_ISPs Make sure that the ip address you forwarded to is correct at ipconfig/all; you may need to set a static ip address but pay attention to the part on DNS servers and the Default Gateway: http://portforward.com/networking/staticip.htm
