You say "FREE", one thing you should know is all torrent sites are free, if you are paying for torrents its a SCAM! As far as I know there are no torrent sites that make you pay, and there won't be!
So all torrent sites are free, I just hope that is clear to you ;)
some sites require you to sign up before you can download, but there are public trackers like Mininova or "semi"-public sites such as Demonoid where some torrents are publically available.
ok chckd out the p2p page and since i am newbie alot of techie stuf over my head, i have not done p2p in a couple of years as did not have pc, now back on and want to start again, what is the best one out there for the lay person, i loved winmx and limewire when first came out but know that much has changed probably in 2 years. Can you guide me?
A bit of reading for you on torrents: http://dessent.net/btfaq/ This is an older FAQ, utorrent is a great client, too and widely used. There is even a guide here for it. FrostWire is also a good program; same developers as Limewire. I find FrostWire for smaller files and torrents for larger files works well.
