i downloaded internet explorer and when i tried to install it it told me to restart the computer. when i tried to log back in it said that Normaliz.dll was missing so explorer.EXE didnt start up. so nothing is on my desktop. i need help thank you.

what version of ie did you download & what version did you have before?

download Firefox. In my OPINION it is much better than IE.

wait is your computer even logging on f not i would recomend going into safe mode and see if u ccan do a system restore

if you ever manage to load up windows (in safe mode), here is a site you can download the missing files.

p.s. from what i have managed to read up, the only way other people who have had the same problem overcame it was by doing a full system reinstall.

i tried that already. it wouldnt let me do it. but does anybody know how to open the control panel from the windows task manager so i can run the system restore?

you can access control panel from task manager by clicking on

File
--New Task(Run...)

A pop-up menu should appear.

In the space provided, type "control" (without the quotes).

then hit ok. this should open up the control panel.
