Quick, but probably dumb question:

If you buy the burner in OEM, it obviously comes without the cable and software.

However, if don't need the cable, it appears all of the software is on Sony's support site:

http://sony.storagesupport.com/dvdrw/dru510adwn.htm

Can anyone confirm if this is everything on this software disc that accompanies the retail drive? Would love to save the $60 difference, but would prefer not to end w/o anything mission critical that would limit it's use.

Pls advise. Thx!

I bought the retail kit -- didn't find anything "mission critical" or even all that useful in the software package.

It depends on what you have access to, I suppose...
