about to buy a new motherboard and i have ddr2 533 ram and i was wondering would it work in a 677 ram taking motherboard. the ram is pc2 4200

You should check the memory specifications and supports for the new specific motherboard you're looking forward to buy.Get the exact model number and make a search on google and you'll get your answer,very easy.
