Internet Slow When Torrenting

When I am downloading a torrent it sucks all of my bandwidth speed and makes the internet go at a crawl. I use bitlord and i have tried utorrent with no improvement. I know other people that have this problem and i was wondering how to fix it?

You should not put your global maximum download rate too high or unlimited,if it's too high or unlimited that's why surfing over the internet will be like walking along with a turtle.

Well i wish but i already have a cable modem. It worked when i had two computers on my network but now that i have three i started having this problem.

of course the internet goes slow when you use torrents, the many connections in torrents use up tons of bandwidth, the only thing you can really do is not run torrents when youre using the internet.
