that actually is a slow download speed. i got quake 4 the other day off there, and was downloading at 550-675 kb/s

To brag that you know a way how not to share is not something you should be proud of and on that you explain in details about your "exploit".It's because of people like you,i mean Jelle....,who think only for yourself that Blackcats will become a lame place in the future.I do wish strongly that,as ha9981 said,you'll get banned for that.And i don't advise any of you guys doing so.We should share as we get,that's how it works!If everyone stops sharing,just think how it will be.

Holy crap man, I've just fiddled with some settings and now i'm getting 70-80 KB/S... but that's still not as much as you, what's your secret!?

not sure, just that the college has one hell of a internet speed i guess. but if are you using utorrent set your settings in the conncetion tab to:
enable UPnP port mapping
enable NAT
add Utorrent to windows firewall
make sure there is a 0 in max download rate
in the bittorrent tab set to:
global max conncections 200
max # peers/torrent 200
number of upload slots 200 (help out that share ratio a lot here)
check everything in additonal bittorrent features
disable outgoing protocol.
and check allow incoming legacy conncections.
try that and see if it speeds up your downloads.

Yeah 50kbps is pretty slow. I usually get around 400-500kps on blackkats with popular new games. If you set your upload speed really low. That'll boost your DL speed a bit. I'll do that when I'm in a hurry to get a game and then put it back up when I done to keep my ratio good.

i finally got into blackcats. i would suggest trying to get in now.

its just not seeded enough its a old torrent there is no secret.

yea upload as long as it takes to get your ratio up....
i download at around 900 KB Max but only upload at 60KB Max so for me to upload 1 GB its takes about 5 hours...
but you do what you got to do...

no offense or anything ddp, but how does this not belong in the 360 discussion board? i can see how it could fall into the p2p forum, or whatnot, but since this site is regularly used for 360 games, i dont see why it doesnt belong here? just curious, not attempting to go against your decision or anything here so please dont get mad at me or anything.
