A question that has been confusing me for days..
Ive downloaded a game off BitLord (I don't think I can say the game in public if you want to know it, PM me), The file contains with 5 files, a .RAR file, 2 .txt files, one a readme another, a credit and the other 2 files, were the unrecognized .daa fiiles. Now Ive unzipped the the .RAR file, It gave the the shortcut of the game, to launch it; when i click that file it gives me the following message:
(filename).exe - Unable to Locate Component
This application has failed to start because binkw32.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.
Now, I payed no attention to this I haven't re-installed the program (Because I Haven't had anything to install in the first place...yet)
Anyways
I opened the readme file named "install.txt" it said:
1. mount.
2. Install the game.
3. Copy NoDVD Crack.
4. Play the game.
Thats all it said! I had no idea what mount was, so I googled it anyways, I after that I didnt really know the definition of mounting a file, but Ive downloaded and registered to get the full version (which I already have)
of a program called PowerISO. Ive installed that, and what it did is it allowed be to view, extract and open the files in the 2 .daa files (they open as 1 on PowerISO, and mind you the two files are quite big, they both add up to be 4.17GB) anyways , after searching the the files for some sort of setup ive found it, ive installed the game (I had to take the files it asked me for in the CD, which I dont have, and put them in seperate folders so the setup could find them) so anyways after installing the and clicking the shortcut on the desktop (The one in the other folder that gave me the message earlier still dosent work) the launcher came up, I clicked Play game, and it told me Please insert disk, now im guessing that I have to burn the 2 .daa files onto a DVD (4.71GB) for it to work...now I do not know how to do that, nor do I know how to convert the .daa file to and .iso file furthermore, i dont even know if the iso file would work and I do have a program to burn ISO's to a dvds...
I forgot to mention, ive mounted (step 1), ive installed (step 2) and step 3 which is "3. Copy NoDVD Crack." I cant find any file called NoDVD Crack, and I dont know where to copy it to! and im not really sure if i get what they mean by "3. Copy NoDVD Crack."
And, i really dont think any of the files are corrupt, I just think im missing something
If anyone can give me advice on how to make this work, suggestion, links forums, a conversion program (I hear PowerISO, can convert but I dont know how to) anything that you think that could help me PLEASEE say it, please :'(
