DC++: Connects but No Searching

I have DC++ and use it on my university Hub.. works fine. 100%. Whenever I try connected to a DC++ hub that is from a Public Hub List, It will Connect to the hub but wont download anyones file list or search for anything..
Im on campus and dont have a firewall.. any ideas?

That program is probably blocked by the university

it ended up working in passive mode in only one hub, not any others..
i have no idea whats going on
