pops loader allows the booting of different kernel pops on a psx eboot.
this is needed because some games may only work on one kind of kernel pops

for example say that driver the psx game worked on 3.52m33 when i or you where playing it then i or you decide to update to 3.71m33 i or you go to play the driver eboot but it doesnt run. i or you then install the popsloader and then change the pops to 3.52 and hay presto it works.

some games dont though i had GT2 working on 3.71m33 and when i went to 3.90m33 with pops and chose the 3.71 pops it still didnt work.

Originally posted by jaygilent:I tried the eboots and they work on 3.71 cfw and with popsloader and it appears in my game folder on the xmb but now when i put other games on there the icons that appear witha background and preview all appear as Final Fantasy when theyr'e actually Resident evil and silent bomber etc how do i change the icons and background stuff w/out popstation as my files are already eboot files not bin anymoreI tried this exact method with both a Final Fantasy 7 (disc 1) and a Final Fantasy Tactics

I got the tactics as far as showing up on the stick, with the FFT screen and everything, but once u press confirm, it freezes (not even with the FF logo...it goes back to my custom background and freezes)

the only button that works is the volume, which shows at the bottom as different icons

have to hold down power to reset, then everything back to square one

I think the problem may be that that ISO folder can only handle .CSO files

well, the emulator not the folder..

because I have two games that are CSO's which work

and so far all my EBOOT's haven't

I've also tried the EBOOTS in all the game folders, with folders, and without

no luck...usually shows up as corrupt data

So shorter version...Change icons for ps1 eboot files please help meeeeeeee... whoever helps me i will show you a site with 700+ psx games ready for download on megaupload all working Now thats bribery!! LOL

 Thank you and goodnight |

QUESTION: I have Chrono Trigger (along with a bunch of old FF games) from ps1 and ripped it to eboot.pbp. I download it in PSP/Games/chronotrigger/eboot. And not a few seconds into it a window pops up saying "Cannot copy eboot: Cannot find the specified file. make sure you specify the correct path and file name." It does the exact same thing when I put my music from my CD's in the PSP/Music/Mars/mp3 in. I have tried changing the UMD mode to normal, M33, Sony, and OE.I have read all over and can not find a solid solution to fixing this. I have a psp 2000 edition with 5.00 M33-6. I have a 8g memory stick that has been reformatted over and over. I have reripped the game several times to make sure it wasn't a bad rip. I also use Vuze for ripping...any ideas whats going on? Been trying to fix this for about a month now. TY

Originally posted by silentdan:yo i did this but it says the file is corrupted im usin cfw 5.00m33-3 and the game was digimon world 3 any ideas or was it just a bad file?Just stick it int he psp/game folder but make sure that the eboot.pbp game is inside a folder of his own.
For instance lets say i have castlevania so it would look like this..

 ms:\PSP\GAME\castlevania\eboot.pbp

After this you should be able to see the game on your memory stick.
