Hi, my new build running,Intel core 2 duo E6600,Asus P5W DH with 2x 120mm fans one at front one at back and 1x 80mm intake side fan along with factory CPU heat sink fan and i am getting temperatures like,

system: 50c
CPU: 80c
AUX: 125c
HD: 35c
core 0: 83c
core 1: 85c

surely theres gotta be something wrong with the sensors on the board pc's been on all day and when i opened it and felt the heat sink fan and motherboard they did not feel that hot, they felt slightly warm nothing near 85c, what do you thinks wrong any suggestions?

take a look in the bios under hardware monitor or something like that to see if the bios temps are same as those programs. are those programs the latest version as possible they are not compatible with your duo core if they are an older version?

1 thing i forgot to say was when i start my pc up it says "cpu over voltage error press F1 to continue" and when i went into bios after the computer being on for 30 mins temps where cpu: 79c MB: 48c and i noticed VCORE voltage fluctuating between 0.992v - 1.oo16v in RED. what does all that mean?

o yaa pc turned off whilst i was converting an AVI file into a vts?

check board site to see if there is a bios update that might correct those problems. other tham that is to take the board back with printed documentation showing your temps or just take the tower to the store to show them your temps as that is to high.

i don't think so but instead of actually printing, you can save it as a file.

i've only dealt with stock fans. check the overclock thread above about different types of cooling including water cooling but don't overclock as risk possibilty of frying the cpu & more.
