You might not have updated to the correct firmware as there are slightly different versions for each drive!

Go to Oriphus's site where you can find all the correct firmware updates for your drive.

thanks for the replies.
the link suggested says to upgrade to ver. 2.06 while the PIONEER official website says the latest ver is 1.41. so wud it be wise to upgrade to 2.06. http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pe/article/0,,2076_4249_47479,00.html#Firmware or

I have P4 2.4 Ghz running on Windows XP with FAT32 File system. Using PRINCO make DVD's. the 1x media copied the 1 GB file normally while the 2x media refuses to do so. So wondering if it would be the PRINCO 4x media that i am using now ? need to get this sorted out soon before i start backing up my data and regreting it. :-)

Thanks.

Be aware that official Pioneer Firmware will not allow faster ripping. The ones from that site are hacks of the official to allow RPC 1 ripping at faster speeds. Its a gamble you take whether you want to use it or not ;-)
