I have noticed my card makes a soft very fast clicking noise continualously when im running a game it dosent do it up until i start the thing when im in teh game menu it dosent do it only when i start playing but funny thing when i take the case of it dosent do it?
I have continued playing but should i be worried im thinking its nothing because it dosent do it without the case cover so it cant be the card?
P.S it has a fan.

These cards get hot when you are gaming, so the fan starts. When you have case off there is plenty of cool air so the fan does not need to work so hard. Maybe.

The fan always runs on this card.
But it might speed up.
funny thing is i took teh cover off while it was making the noise and as soon as i took it it stopped when i put it back on it started again.

The fan will speed up and slow down in response to graphic processor temperature.

Maybe the sheet metal of the case is vibrating? Some cases are very noisy that way. You could try gently pressing the case with your fingers to see if the noise changes or goes away.

[Edit]

Google for "R96XGT fan" and you will see that many people say the fan is noisy.

Example...

The weird thing about it all is that sometimes it doesn't happen for two days then it will start happening all the time on other days - all I can think is that it's related to the temperature of the card so when it goes up a bit and the fan is sped up it starts the problem again.... can't think what else it would be. I do find by lightly tapping the card near the fan that it stops - strange!

ckeck to see if there is any wires close to the fan that when cover is on pushes a wire into fan causing clicking noise. anytime i heard a fan needing oil it does not click but groan for a while before going away.

probably is the cover causing the fan to click. to confirm that the card is touching the case is to use a bit of lipstick on any point of the card that is most likely to touch the case. with the cover on the lipstick on points on the card will mark the inside of the cover.
