i have a home network and a cable modem, but recently some of my programs wont connect to the servers they should (games+torrent) i have not tweaked with the settings recently, but it just suddenly stopped working.. i am using xp pro, nod 32 (scanned recently) adaware se (scanned recently) and the came up with nothing

any ideas would be greatly appreciated

I had the same problem. On mine, IE would work but Firefox wouldn't. Also none of my Virus or Spyware scans would update so if it was anythng new I couldn't do anything about it. Since I couldn't update anything and I couldn't really download or play any games I finally gave up and restored my computer. Obviously it works fine now.
