I have both and while I'd pick WinAvi for speed, I'd give every other comparison to ConvertXtoDVD plus it isn't very much slower (minutes, not hours). ConvertXtoDVD handles audio better and you also get simple menues. In fact, after I reformatted, I didn't even reinstall WinAvi.
