so i've had this desktop for about 4-5 years now and am planning to purchase a new computer but don't want this computer to be put to waste... i'm a total newbie in the area of upgrading computers, but am wondering what upgrades are available, if any. cause i've been told that sony vaio's have no room for improvement... like your stuck with what you've bought or whatever, but i hope thats completely wrong. i'd like to be able to make it a gaming computer if possible... please help me out.

i just figured out that my video card is PCI. I've looked around and discovered that there isn't too big of a selection for PCI? would anyone happen to know what the best PCI card available is?
