Putting SVCD/VCD on to DVD Media

I am managing to burn DVDs now but would like to put SVCD/VCD on to DVD Media.

In theory using MyDVD I want to create a menu with the 2/3 SVCD-VCD titles as menu buttons. When I do this the 700mb SVCD title becomes 2.8gig or more on the DVD authoting s/ware
Help!!!

SVCDs don't work directly, because SVCD resolution (480x480/576) is not supported by DVD standards and therefor needs to be re-encoded. On the other hand, VCD resolution _is_ within DVD specs and VCD can be burned on DVD without re-encoding.

Hi i have tried everything to get these damn vcds on to dvd-r, i have re-encoded it and i try to author it with spruceup and everytime i try to add asset it comes up with "Temporal Reference In GOP #5893 {Zero Based} Are Out Of Sequence {0xc10b000a} Them Says Temperal GOP is out of Sequence.

Please HELP!!!!

Demux the VCD with TMPGEnc's MPEG Tools, re-encode the audio (.mp2) in order to change the audio to 48kHz .mp2, then simply author it -- use the .m1v as video and the new .mp2 as audio.
