This is my sons pc. It was formatted a week ago at the cost of £52 due to virus's. I can't beleive its in the same situation again. I can't get it in safe mode, AVG, xoftspy etc find things, but popups are still appearing, its crashing, and the browser is hijacked. The most common thing on the scans is vundo trojan and cobfinn backdoor. Here is the hijack log :

Hi
i have tried the AntiVir, but it can't do anything with the files. The 'thing' just keeps coming back! AVG is the same, access denied. It keeps putting a new file on startup, hggecbb.dll. Thats in W32, and registry too, plus many more. Is this a format job again?

Ahh... VundoFix works wonders. However, some new strains of Vundo may have developed methods to hinder the effectiveness of VundoFix.

Right-click on HijackThis and select "Rename". Rename it to "asdf.exe". Post another log.

I also don't like the look of this O4:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [WindowsUpdate] rundll32.exe "C:\WINDOWS\system32\vwsspvws.dll",realset

I'll take a look into that.
