I've trying to burn a couple of tv shows, using my HP DVD Writer, to a DVD+RW w/o any luck. I have instructed Nero to use my HP DVD Writer...it recognizes it alright...but Nero tells me it cannot record to this disk. I've tried other dvd disks and everything. The crazy thing is that I can burn the project to a CDRW using this very recorder.

BTW...I'm using Nero 5.5 which freezes all the stinking time. Or I get the error msg "another app is using the imapi frive or whatever the hell it says".

I'm thinking of uprgrading to Nero 6 hoping that this will help me out!!!

I got it worked out...Thanks!

The video quality still sucks though. I'm beginning to think that recording off the computer and viewing on a tv is not gonna happen. I've read a lot of posts in other forums saying how crappy the picture is on a tv.

It all depends on the capture process and the parameters you set. I have WinTV PVR 250 capture card and I?ve captured a lot of TV shows in the high quality SVCD setting. They are excellent. The quality lies in the capture process and not in the burn process.
