Ok I unistalled Nero 5. when I had it it said it had a stability problem with windows xp. Ok I upgraded to Nero 7. Now windows xp wont reconize any of my cds disc in my drive. I tryed THE REGEDIT KEYS. I tryed the KNOX FIX. CAN ANY BODY HELP? windows media player in safe mode says that a device attached to the system is not functioning. when I dont have it in safe mode it dont reconize any of my cds. ONLY DVDS HELP! PLEASE

Yes tranq I uninstalled,reinstalled, check plug and play,updated drivers, downloaded knox script cd and dvd fix, deleted uplifters in regedit, changed the ide cable,installed scsi, updated firmware, and checked permission.still not working. Please any suggestion,anybody? please help!

I'm not sure what you mean ,but
intel(r) 82801aa bus master ide controller. I updated driver the driver reads no conflicts. Primary channel ide ultra dma mode2 no conflicts. and i have a secondary ide channel ultra dma mode 2 as well and it reads no conflicts. my master driver details are windows/systems32drivers atapi sys. windows/sys 32 intelide sys. windows/syst 32 pcidex. primary and secondary details are the same. windows/syst/driversatap.sys. windows/syst/storprop.dll. Thank you for your help:)
