This is my first try at news groups and NewsRover is giving me this error message. I have Earthlink through TWC and I'm on the east coast.

P.S. Is paying for Newzbin worth it?

Sure, when you take the cost of a night at theatre or the purchase of the same file but have a look at nzb matrix. You have a 120 days retention for a small donation (don't know what it is otherwise). Never used NewsRover so, don't know the error. Retention, maybe?

Powerusenet as my ISP has a server but only with 3 days retention and a 2G cap and NewsLeecher.

Didja try using the login info provided by your ISP? Some ISP offer free access to Usenet services but you still hafta log into the server.

Call/email your ISP and ask for your Usenet login info and than try accessing the server. Make sure you change your Usenet server info in your client first, add your login info.
