NO DISPLAY ON MY MONITOR

SO I UPGRADED MY COMPUTER TO XP FROM 2000...Now THE MONITOR WONT DISPLAY ANYTHING, IT WAS WORKING FINE DURING THE WHOLE UPGRADE, BUT WHEN I TURNED IT ALL BACK ON IT WONT DISPLAY ANYTHING NOW. WHAT COULD HAVE HAPPEND, ANY SOLUTIONS. I TRIED SWITCHING THE GRAPHIC CARD TO A NEW ONE BUT THAT DIDNT WORK, AND I TRIED SWITCHING MONITORS AND THAT DIDNT WORK....HELP!

1: knockoff the caps lock as is referred to as shouting which is a forum rule no no.
2: does it show anything when the pc is 1st turned on? is there power? does the computer appear to be loading stuff even tho can't see on the monitor?

Yes everything seems to load. Fans run, lights blink, just no signal to monitor. I used a friends monitor to test it out too and his said no signal from pc. My monitor goes into standby mode. But everything else on the pc itself seems to be running.

try reseating the videocard. try another videocard even a pci version

disconnect all cables to drives. remove all cards & ram except for videocard & a stick of ram, reseat those 2.
