Can you use Action Replay to boot PSX games?

I have a burned copy of Action Replay Max for PS2 and I use Swap Magic 3.6 to boot it. I heard that you can use some versions of Action Replay to boot burned PSX games and I would like to know hwo to do it.

even loading a real game from a copied version of armax is an issue.
